Jay is an energetic and bubbly jellyfish who lives in the ocean. One day he found headphones and a phone on the ground, took them home and learned how to use them. Ever since that day, he’s loved listening to music. Jay is really scared of Leatherback Turtles after hearing many scary stories about them from friends and family.

Sea Nettle jellyfish were the main inspiration for the character design, they're known as a typical jellyfish for their appearance. The reason why Jay is scared of Leatherback Turtles because they are the top predator for most jellyfish.

Jellyfish are my favourite animal, so I wanted to try and make a character of one. The orange and pink colours are meant to show his personality, warm colours bringing the energy to him. I wanted to give him headphones because I love music, so it makes Jay happy too!
